Purchases for starting a business

Question

Dear Sir/Madam,

Before starting my business, I incurred costs such as a logo, etc.

Can I include these in my accounts? I did not have a vAT number at the time.

You should search for it in the learning center at start-up; there is an article about it on the page.

The general rule is that you can claim expenses incurred up to three months before your official start date. Of course, this only applies to expenses related to your business, for which you have an invoice or receipt.
